I need a list of dog breeds and basic descriptions.? I'm just looking for a link to a big list of dog breeds and basic descriptions. i.e. The ----- is not a good family dog, however is a good hunting companion. Their temperment is best described as yadda yada. Can anyone help me?

Where can I find the list that states that pit bulls are fourth from the bottom on dog breed attacks? Short and simple: I opened my mouth got into an argument and now need to find the list that states that pit bulls are fourth from the bottom on the list of dog breeds most likely to attack. I've read all over on many different sites that pit bulls are fourth from the bottom on a study done, but I've never actually seen said list. Hypoallergenic does not mean that they are totally allergy-free, it just means that they produce fewer allergens. I think you have the wrong idea of what the "hypo" in hypoallergenic really means.. Why are beagles listed on dog breeds website as suitable 1st time dogs? According to the RSPCA in australia, the Beagle require 4km daily walks and therefore requires experienced owners. Many dog breed website seem to underestimate this breed exercise requirements. I just went to the AKC website, but there was just a list, and I really would rather just have a list with pictures, and not have to click each individual breed to see it. I'm getting a dog soon, however I don't really know which one I want. I'm considering a puggle, which I know is not a nationally recognized dog. Are there any dog breeds in the AKC or FSS that originated in Greece? Most dogs seem to originate in England, Germany, Spain, or Italy. Are there any that originated in Greece? Also, care to list some breeds found in other uncommon locations of origin. Thank you! My dog was tested for his breed and the test came back that his breed was not on their list of breeds?? My dog looks like a pit mix but I had him tested at Canine Heritage and they said his breed was unidentifiable.. as in human dna wouldn't they be able to see his last identifiable breed i.e. the breed he is most like? do you think aggresive breed dog list will change? My family and I are trying to find someplace to rent because we just can afford to buy this time, but we are finding it very hard to rent anything because of our dogs. Both of my dogs are senior citizens and are well behaved and I exercise them every morning, I feel bad if I don't get to take them out. I also agree with others who have said that the smaller dogs are the ones you should look after. But on that note I grew up with pomeranians so I like littles doggies as well, my little girl Aja was not afraid to stand up to our big dog Simba who was a German Shepherd.

German Shepherd/Shepherd Mix Great Dane Dogs St Bernards The reason I ask is that a lot of people I meet say my breed of dog is dangerous and bad with other dogs and people. They fail to realise however that German Shepherds are way more dangerous and even Great danes and believe it or not St Bernards. So go on try and guess....... Oh and by the way for all labrador owners out there in 1995 they were number five on the most dangerous dogs list. Are they really as cute as people think? I think not! Just making you aware of facts, Akita's are not attacking people anywhere near as much as other breeds like, German Shepherds - Labradors - etc.

What dog breeds are small enough to fit into bags? I often see women with very small dogs which they carry around in bags which resemble purses or tote bags. What are the breeds of dogs which are small enough to do this with? If someone could provide a list of a few, it would be appreciated. Okay, before someone tries to report me for animal abuse...I do not want to put the dog in a bag. I am just trying to specify that I want an extremely small dog. When I peope before they say things like beagles or dachsunds, which can way up to 25 pounds. All I want is a tiny dog, and this is my way of qualifying how tiny. Leonberger: big, beautiful, and very gentle and kind. They also don't slobber like St Bernards do. 3. St Bernard: same reasons as the Leo, except that St Bernards slobber everywhere. 4. Pitbull: always happy, fun, and energetic (if it's raised right). 5. Pug: full of energy, happy, friendly, fun, crazy! Least Faves 1. Chow Chow: mean, nasty; get attached to one or a few people and hate everyone else. I've been bitten by two dogs - both Chows. 2. Weimaraner: stupid, hyper, and full of issues like separation anxiety, etc. 3. Greyhound: same as Weims, except they're lazy instead of hyper. 4. Chihuahua: usually very nasty to strangers (especially veterinary staff). 5. Yorkshire Terrier: I'm sorry I know everyone loves them but I think they're so ugly. There are exceptions to all rules - and I have liked and disliked dogs of every breed, including those listed here.
